I know I have been very bad with my posts for the past 5-6 months but thats because I had such an amazing summer I travelled for a while a just didn’t have much time. I’d like to share with some photos 🙂
In June I went to Maldives to Reeti Rah resort. What can I say?! WOW! I have travelled to many places before but this one is out of this world A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Where do I start, from the service to food, to the picturesque view from any side of the island, romantic atmosphere! I guess the only thing I wished for is to go there on honeymoon not just for a holiday because now I don’t know how would anything top that! There weren’t much to do there at all besides tanning, eating and swimming but trust me you wouldn’t want to because its purely a lazy relaxing holiday. I didn’t swim much in the ocean although the water is crystal clear, I am very scared of water 😦 I always have a feeling there is shark somewhere waiting for me, (damn that Jaws and Piranha movies). I sure did have time to make loads of pictures though!
When I arrived back to London I felt like it was not enough for me so I said to my friend lets go somewhere I feel a bit depressed and want more sunshine lets go on a holiday. We sat browsing expedia for few hours and decided to go to Thailand we bough the tickets all set to go and the last moment I had a call from my mom saying that she is not happy with me going to Thailand she feels its a bit unsafe for two young girls to go there and that we should change our destination. I did not object and we rushed into booking a different destination. Another long hours of search finally got us somewhere. Bahamas I scream! Lets go to Bahamas! My friend looks at me like at a crazy person “Wow thats a totally different side of the world”. Never mind “Lets go” she says! Finally, here we are at the airport about to take off and the pilot announces that there is a delay…. It lasted three hours. Great! Bad enough the flight is 9 hours+ 3 hours just waiting at the airport not moving, but who cares we were so exited about the trip!
We arrived to Nassau airport to find out that our luggage never arrived. The weather outside is +35C , I am wearing jeans and trainers+ warm jumper ( because I always get cold on the plane). I am not sure if I could ever explain my frustration at that point to anyone but it was very very annoying. We arrived to the hotel absolutely beautiful, we stayed at Paradise Island Atlantis hotel. The receptionist informs us that our room wont have that sea view as we booked ( I still am not sure why), in fact our room looked straight into the wall literally a WALL of another building! So no clothes, no make up remover, no swimsuits and no view from the room! I turned around to my friend and say “whatever lets just enjoy”. We didn’t let anything ruin our holiday, bags eventually arrived, we sun tanned everyday, in fact too much at some point. We got sun burned every single day and were laying like lobsters, we were so drained by the evening that we couldn’t even go out to the club. We did go to casino once though it was fun until I started loosing money 😦 Overall, it was an amazing time with my bestie you can see from the pictures below I think they are great 🙂
On the way back home from Bahamas, my and my friend were discussing how much we liked travelling since it was our first time travelling together and we want to go somewhere again. First destination that came into our mind was Mykonos and Santorini! I always wanted to go to those places so why not! Ready set go we bought the tickets and decided to get the bus this time since we spent so much already! 6 am we are getting on the bus, quite sleepy I fell asleep on the bus, an hour later I manage to open my one eye to find out hour much more left? I ask the driver
” SIr, how Sir g do we have left till the Stanstead airport?”
” Stanstead? Darling we are going to Luton!”
OMG!!!!! I turn around to my friend in shock and manage to say ” WE ARE F%*&ED!” We had 2 hours till departure and we haven’t even reached the Stanstead airport never mind the Luton! We couldn’t even get out of the bus as it was on the motorway. I am not usually a person who panics, I mean what could we do in that situation anyway, the only thing that could have solved us at that point was if we get a plane from Stanstead airport to Luton! Finally we arrived to Luton airport, we run so fast to find a cab to go to Stanstead, I felt like Usain Bolt at Olympics! Funny enough we arrived 40 minutes prior departure of the plane. BUT! There is a big BUT! They didn’t let us in because, well because its easy jet! Never flying with them again! Standing there angry, hungry, sleepy we decide that we hate everyone and everything and we should buy another tickets but to another destination! So we decide to go to Ibiza! Let me tell you we both hated Ibiza from what we saw and heard. We got on the plane and WOW, literally every single person is a teenager and drunk! What do we do? We get drunk also! It was fun whilst it lasted, but I don’t remember how we arrived, however I saw a photo doing selfie with the border control person the next morning on my phone!
I am not even sure if I want to share our horrible experience in Ibiza, but we came back to London hating it even more! We also got robbed which was not fun at all! And on top of all of that, we missed the plane back home! The plane was scheduled for 20th July at 00.30 so that makes it the night of 19th doesn’t it? We arrived to the airport on 20th of July at 22.30 pm to find out that the plane has left yesterday! The worst thing is you can not be mad at anyone at this situation because the only people to blame was is us !!! Why were we so unorganised I have no idea, but sure we had a holiday to remember!
