Duck and Waffle

I’m going to review supposedly one of the “must go” restaurants in London. I went there at the beginning of June it was a perfect weather for it as the restaurant is situated on the 40th floor of Herron Tower. I am always excited when a restaurant is situated on the roof top or somewhere very high up because we don’t get much of those here.

So as you guessed the name Duck and Waffle speaks for itself it is their signature dish in fact! I heard about this place many times and was advised to go, so I did. The layout of the restaurant is actually really cool. I ordered quite a lot of dishes as I was hungry but mainly because I wanted to try everything as it’s quite rare when I come back to the same restaurant twice because there are so many in London to try! None of the dishes I tried were even half good or acceptable so it was time for the Duck and Waffle attack. When one says duck and waffle dish what do you expect to see? When the dish arrived it was literally just duck on top of the waffle and a fry egg on top oh and a maple syrup or something well some kind of sweet syrup anyway. I am not sure why I was excepting something else? I’m judging this purely on my own taste I am not a food critic but it wasn’t good at all! The duck was greasy ( as they always are anyway), I still don’t get the point of an egg on top! I ended up just eating the waffle itself as a dessert! I had something similar in Miami two year ago at this restaurant called Prime 112, I had chicken on a waffle with a spicy sauce, which also was weird! Anyway a lot of people seem to like this combination but never again for me and it wasn’t just me who thought it wasn’t good, the person I came with also shared my opinion about duck and waffle. Oh well at least now I know ☺️
I ended up taking bunch of pictures of my self at the end, which I enjoyed the most 🙈
